This is my doctoral thesis, where I sought to support the co-management partners for the Killinikmiut Tuktuit by advancing our collaborative understanding of the status and trends of the Killinikmiut Tuktuit with Inuinnait Knowledge and how Inuinnait Knowledge around the Killinikmiut Tuktuit is situated.

Supporting Inuit food sovereignty through collaborative research of an at-risk caribou herd

This paper was a chapter in my doctoral thesis, where I worked with Inuit harvesters to document their insights about the “Dolphin and Union” caribou herd. The second objective of this paper was to put our findings into the broader literature on the DU caribou herd and connect isolated data on their abundance and distribution.

A three-staged story towards caribou conservation: Ulukhaktokmiut reports on ‘Dolphin and Union’ and Peary caribou in 2011-2014 and suggested conservation efforts in 2022

Bringing local, traditional, and scientific knowledge together in a proactive wildlife health and conservation assessment framework
